Delco Diana: What it means to be “Delco Irish”

Hello Delco! As March winds down, it’s time to catch up on some of the Shenanigans that took place during the month of Irish Heritage, Blarney Buses and green beer. Delco Diana: What It Means to be “Delco Family”

  “…what it lacks in wealth, it makes up for in heart…” ~ Stephanie Farr of the Philadelphia Inquirer Farr was speaking about our home, Delaware County. Her words couldn’t be truer. Delco may not be the wealthiest county surrounding Philadelphia, but we truly do have the most heart and pride, in who we are, where we come from and in helping our neighbors. That’s So DELCO

Being from Delaware County, is something that is hard to explain.  If you’re not from here, it’s hard to get what “we” are all about.  Every town, borough and city has its on unique persona but all of us are still Delco.  We love our sports teams, whether it is professional, high school or little league, bar league softball is a national pastime, we live for Thursday nights, Friday Happy Hour and Sunday day loads watching the Birds.  We have a beef and beer, not a fundraiser or benefit, for anyone from our neighborhood that is need.  We have a ...
