Delco Company Tackling Hoarding

A Delaware County disaster restoration business is teaming up with  author and reality TV personality to help compulsive hoarders clean up their lives. Clifton Heights based ServiceMaster by ARTec is joining forces with Matt Paxton, of  the TV Show “Hoarders”  and author of “The Secret Lives of Hoarders. FREAKY DELCO NEWS ALERT: (AP)-A Pennsylvania man has been charged with stealing more than $350,000 worth of human skin over a period of several years. Fifty-four-year-old Gary Dudek, of the Wallingford section of Nether Providence, was arrested Monday and charged with theft, receiving stolen property and tampering with records. Authorities say he worked until September as a sales representative for a Massachusetts-based regenerative medicine firm and had the authority to order skin grafts for Mercy Philadelphia Hospital. Delco’s Newest Eagles Cheerleader

Thank god we woke up before noon today. Otherwise we would have missed Fox 29’s segment with the new squad of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders.  Double bonus that we found out that at least one of the new girls is from Delco. We only know she’s “Victoria from Garnet Valley”. Delco’s Voice Audra McLaughlin eliminated from “The Voice”

UPDATE 5/7/14 We are sad to say that Audra was eliminated on Tuesday night despite a great effort by fans to Tweeted #VoiceSave Audra. It was a magnificent run for our favorite Delco country singer.  It was a privilege to see her sing every week and see her rise to stardom.  Thanks for taking us along for the ride Audra.  Can’t wait to see what is next for you. Indie Film Shooting in Media

It may not yet be the Hollywood of the East Coast but the borough of Media is becoming a hotbed for TV and film production.  Production crews have taken over Sligo Irish Pub on State Street for an independent film “Bad Boys-Crazy Girls”.  Production trucks and crews were seen all morning in and out of the pub. We hear they are filming several scenes in Media and Delaware County. Beers for Books

OK. File this one under:Genius. Your drinking can now help the world become a better place.  Lifelong Delconians and brothers David an Jack Cunicelli of 320 Market Cafe (713 Chester Road, Rt. 320, Swarthmore) have launched “Beers for Books”.  And just as the title sounds it’s exactly what it does.  It’s a fundraiser to help increase adult literacy in Delaware County and fueled by the admiration of fine craft brews.
