(Media, PA) Delco Pride Airways is announces it’s inaugural non-stop service from Philadelphia International Airport to Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Delco Pride Airways will begin daily non-stop service starting April 1, 2014. Over 4 million international and 1 million domestic passengers as well as 150,000 tons of freight and mail exchange use Shah Jalal International Airport (DAC) on an annual basis. Several of them could be from Delaware County.

Delco Pride Airways is the only international airline based in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.  “Bangladesh is an underserved destination for many business and vacation travelers from the United States. It’s an untapped market” said Steven Ocled, CEO of newly formed Delco Pride Airways. The airline utilizes a fleet of a single Boeing 747-400 acquired from the defunct Eastern Airlines.
